The Punch and Judi theatre was a great success.

Well here it is.....

A photo as promised of the Punch and Judi theatre. My husband who created it always says he is still 12 years old in his head. I think he will enjoy using it as much as Lydia. He has not finished making the puppets yet. He has got two days to finish them before the birthday party. Oh yes... if you are wondering what's on top, a touch of quirkiness....it's a birds nest.

My talented husband decided to make a "Punch and Judy" theatre for Lydia who is turning 6. He has done a fantastic job. It looks brilliant. I helped a little bit by sewing the curtains and the side walls. Sadly, I have to admit I did complain a bit at the time (well a lot really to be honest) as sewing is not my thing, but I am glad I persevered. I illustrated it as well to make a birthday card. I will photograph it and post later. I guess now days it is not very politically correct to have toys that bash each other with bat and a rolling pin but ......what the heck it is just a bit of old fashioned fun.

Home sweet home.

Time for a change from wedding stationery. I photographed this very cute bird house recently. I discovered it when I went to visit a beautiful old house/garden centre on the outskirts of Melbourne. It was a sensational old house elevated high on a hill and overlooking the ocean surrounded by the most wonderful gardens. My idea of heaven.

I wanted to have an invitation in my range that was classic elegant and timeless. The typography is clean and spacious making it minimalistic in a traditional way.

Typographical invitation.

You can choose to have this invitation white both sides or a contrasting colour on the reverse side. I like the two tone version. It is just a bit more dynamic and interesting.

Quirky love birds and bright colours.

Time for a punch of colour. These invitations have an illustration one side and the wording on the reverse side.  They could be sent out as a postcard style invitation but I think they would look great in a really bright eye catching envelope. A transparent envelope would look good too.

Guatemama Worry Dolls.

While I was hunting high and low for the missing cable for my sewing machine I found these tiny cute worry dolls. They were given to my husband a few years ago and had been packed away when we moved house. They are to help you sleep. You put them under your pillow and let them do the worrying for you. Too cute. They look enormous in these photos but they are only 3cm long.

I must design some invitations that are not blue! It is not even my favourite colour. Obviously I do like it.  It just seems to be perfect for weddings. Fresh and bright.

Contemporary wedding invitations.

I have been working on some new wedding invitations. One is a cute simple hand drawn bride and groom in black ink on white textured card. The second one is a fresh lime green and grey design on a crisp white card. Any colour combination could be used for both.
