Australia Day.

We celebrated Australia Day in Fremantle last night with friends. It was a lovely evening. Not so lovely today though. 38 degrees expected. It is going to be ones of those days to hide away indoors with the air con on. Big fireworks on tonight but not even that is going to encourage me out.

Photo room.

My husband is preparing for a photo exhibition. I had a peek into his studio and I thought his room made a great photo in it's self.  As you can see he loves aeroplanes, not to mention cars. The car stuff is on the other side of the room. That will be a photograph for another day. He has some wonderful photos. I am looking forward to his exhibition.

Instagram

Well I finally opened an Instagram account this week. I was not planning to as I have all the other social media accounts and I really did not want to have another one to look after...but here I am with Instagram. I went for a walk in my lunch break to photograph something to make me look "interesting and quirky".  I walked past an art gallery and saw some fantastic colourful aboriginal art in the window. Yep I thought ... that 's and Instagram photo. After I posted it my Instagram guru left a comment asking if it was a selfie ha ha ha.

I have created a slightly different pet portrait. This time a quirky caricature style. I have been asked to display my portraits at a local fete so thought I would have a few different styles to offer.

Art exhibition.

My sister Chris Bellamy is exhibiting some art work at the Margaret River Gallery, lansdcapes and Inspiration. Margaret River is a great beachside holiday destination in Western Australia.  Famous for growing grapes and producing fabulous wine. Chris worked as a illustrator for many years but has transitioned to painting very successfully.
