The new black is black.

I have spent a lot of time working on my medical illustrations this weekend. Today I took a break for a coffee with my husband. We discovered a great new cafe and had the most delicious raspberry chocolate cake with banana cream. On the way home we stopped at "Chinta" a gift shop in Subiaco. While Peter looked around the shop I stayed outside with my camera and found a great collection of photos. All in the same location, same colour and taken in 5 minutes. I really like the photo of the shadow of a tree on a grey wall.

Tribute to Karl.

A very good friend took his own life a couple of months ago. I did this emotions graphic not long after he passed away but I have not been able to post it until now. He was a lovely, lovely guy and ironically one of his best features was his beautiful warm smile. Miss you Karl.

An abstract for an empty wall.

I was looking for a photo to enlarge and print onto a canvas or frame for an empty wall in our new house.  I came across this photograph I took through the car window on a cold winters night in Perth. It reminds me a lot of my sisters paintings. (See earlier postings). Hummm...... I wonder what else I can find to distract me from what I should be doing and that is working on medical illustrations. Ok no more procrastinating. Back to work.
