I designed the girl's birthday card some time ago and have finally had time to so the boy's version.

Wall decor.

Today I stumbled on this lovely wall decor which I was given for my birthday last year by my good friend Vicky. (I was actually looking for some old blank canvas's). We have been busy with lots of home projects since we moved in to our new house so the sticker had been put away in a safe place for a little while. I put the sticker up and it looks great. It inspired me to change the colours in my office. So out with the pastels and in with the blacks and browns. Love my new room. Thanks Vicky.

Colourful doodle.

I was working on an illustration today and created a colourful doodle by accident. I dragged some shapes on to my paste board and went back to my illustration. Later as I was closing down the program I noticed the collection of shapes and liked it. Sometimes your best work can be an accident. I love it when that happens. As the saying goes "less is more". I am sure other artists and designers can relate to this.

Mothers day.

Mothers day is just around the corner. Time to start thinking about what to buy for my mother. She is going on a once in a life time cruise so maybe something for the trip? She lives 200kms away so it  has to be something I can send which limits it a bit. Thinking...thinking......
