Gosh where did that weekend go? It was wet, wet, wet but we didn't mind at at all … well maybe the wet feet in a leaking 1959 car wasn't that great but it was cosy and invigorating. Another good thing is that you don't have to worry about your hair because it is impossible to have a hair style with rain and wind and beanies. You just have to live with with squashed, flat, frizzy, limp hair. Lucky we all know each other pretty well.

We are off with a bunch of friends from the car club this weekend. Yahhh. It is always loads of fun. We revert to teenagers and play silly pranks on each other, drink, eat and go for long drives in the winter green countryside, top off the car and keeping warm with our beanies and scarves. Not something we get to do a lot of in Australia. One year we convinced some new comers that we were a swingers club. We aren't of course, but it was fun pretending.

A friend told me today that she went to her usual Tuesday morning mahjong game and a friend pointed out that she had her jumper on inside out, so it is not just me who is the space cadet this week. (I wore a different boot on each foot yesterday). They all had a good laugh.

I did a silly thing today. I wore two different ankle boots to work! What a wally I am. They were at least the same colour but one had a rounded toe and other was pointed. They were slightly different heights as well. The funny thing is I had just moved all my shoes from one side of the wardrobe to the other because the light was better on that side. I think I should have left them in the dark. Away it gave everybody at work a laugh. They say life is stranger than fiction.
