Another Australia Day and another hot, hot, hot day in Perth. Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Sydney Cove, New South Wales, and raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip. It is notoriously boiling hot on Australia Day and this year has been no exception, in fact the whole week has been insanely hot. Not fun. Roll on winter.

Another hospital illustration. The Burns Unit required an illustration of a bandicoot in bandages and carrying a relay barton. I am not sure why other than it is a fund raising project. It is funny working in a children's hospital I get to do all sorts of fun jobs. I would not have imagined I would ever have been asked to draw a bandicoot.
