I love this wall outside the artist Murray Gill's cute shop in Subiaco.

Australia Day.

Another Australia Day and another hot, hot, hot day in Perth. Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Sydney CoveNew South Wales, and raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip. It is notoriously boiling hot on Australia Day and this year has been no exception, in fact the whole week has been insanely hot. Not fun. Roll on winter.

Bandicoot.

Another hospital illustration. The Burns Unit required an illustration of a bandicoot in bandages and carrying a relay barton. I am not sure why other than it is a fund raising project. It is funny working in a children's hospital I get to do all sorts of fun jobs. I would not have imagined I would ever have been asked to draw a bandicoot.

Bullying.

A second illustration from the booklet that I am working on.  It is in part about bulling of children. The booklet is about a lot more than just bullying but that helps explain this particular illustration.

sshhhhhhhh...

I have been asked to illustrate a small booklet for the hospital where I work as a graphic designer. I have about 60 illustrations in total so that will keep me busy for a while. The booklet is to be read by young children so I will make the illustrations simple and colourful.

Same sex wedding invite.

My signature style, clean and simple. The circles below can be used for envelope seals, scattered on the reception tables, attached to wine glass's with ribbon or used as cake topers.

Inside the shop.

These photos from inside the "Quirky Den" were too cute not to post. In our very clinical world it is so nice to see some worn, rustic, vintage "stuff".

Cute shop

On our way to visit family in the country for xmas we past this very cute gift store. It was the perfect way to break the journey and stretch our legs. Note the Aussie christmas tree.

Gingerbread house going…going...

The kids loved demolishing the gingerbread house. Eating it was pretty good too.
