Retail development artwork.

A new retail shopping area in Mount Lawley, Perth. I am sure there will be a cafe in there somewhere. Always love a new cafe. I love the triangular art and the use of the earthy tones inspired by tones and textures that surround us everyday in Australia.

Wall mural.

I just love this mural. I discovered it on my way to a friends house. The vibrancy and colours are great. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the artist.

Wallpaper posters.

We started renovating our bathroom today. Removing the old tiles with a jackhammer was the first job. Very messy. I don't recommend it especially if you washed your hair the night before. This will be our 5th house renovation and 3rd bathroom... hopefully our last. I think we are a bit over bathroom renovations. We treated ourselves to dinner out after we had washed off all the dust. We headed off to our favourite fish and chip shop and sat outside and watched the world go by. I always find something interesting to photograph and tonight was no exception.

Tea cups.

Pick a cup... any cup. I had coffee/tea with some girlfriends today. It was a bit of an effort to get there with detours, train crossing, dead ends and red light, but I made it on time. Loved the cabinet of tea cups. It was like a visit to grandma's. The cafe is called Chaples on Whatley. It always recharges the batteries to have a chat with BFF.

Toy vintage car.

What a cutie! This photo was taken from the same cafe in Fremantle that I posted yesterday. Very quirky and cute. Coffee was good too.

Cafe love.

Cafes are a great place for relaxation and inspiration. Whether you're people-watching, catching up with friends, checking your instagram or scanning the mags... cafes are the best. There are no shortage of great cafes in Perth which are interesting and quirky so I am going to feature some of these on my blog. Love to hear what you think of them. The first one is from a cafe in Fremantle which I took a few months ago when my sister came to visit. I love the wallpaper, soft pastel colours and retro vibe.

Rose photos.

Just messing around today. Still monochrome I am afraid but there is a little splash of colour. We had some flowers in a vase that had wilted in the heat. We had one day where the temperature reached 41.6. My husband and I both took a photo with very different results. He put his photo on Facebook and one of the comments made me laugh. The friend said he felt like the flowers looked. I think we all do. My husband is a photographer so his IS allowed to be better than mine, but I do like the simplicity of mine.

Framed print.

I seem to be in a bit of a monochrome phase at the moment. Perhaps it is the oppressive heat. So many long, hot days. It is so hard to get inspired about anything. How I would love to see and feel some beautiful, big, cold, drops of rain. Below is one of my prints that I framed today and added to the collection on my office wall. My aim is to totally cover the whole wall. I guess I did get a little inspired.

Clip art free.

I have decided to reward my customers with a special offer of a free clip art of your choice with any purchase made. This is just for a limited time so be quick and don't miss this opportunity.

Simply purchase any product from my Etsy shop and then I will send you the clip art of your choice.

Wedding invitations clip art.

If you love the idea of a DIY wedding invitation project you might like to consider buying your names in script, saved as a jpg and then create your own stationery in a Word document. Wedding costs add up so this is a good way to stay on budget and have stationery that looks professional and contemporary.

Old typewriter.

I was hunting around the house trying to find something interesting to photograph and I discovered my old typewriter. I won it at school for "most improved student" !!!! At the time I thought it was absolutely amazing, so compact and portable. How funny it is to look back on it now. I still love it and I think it still looks amazing.

I have created a typographic poster using the photo of the "Tippa". I have enhanced the photo in photoshop to make it more interesting and placed text in Indesign. I think it would look great printed large on canvas or even printed and framed.

Inspirational quote.

What inspires you? There are a lot of things that can provide inspiration – seeing other people accomplish great things, seeing other people overcome adversity, hearing inspirational quotes from great people, even the sheer beauty of nature can remind us just how lucky we are to be alive.

Wisdom quote.

Wisdom quotes are great to shed light, help keep perspective, inspire, motivate or energize.
Sometimes we need a little reminder.
